WAEC releases May/June 2018 WASSCE results - THE West African Examinations Council, WAEC, on Wednesday, in Lagos, released the April/May West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, WASSCE, results for this year. A total of 1,572,396 candidates sat the examination, out of which 923,486 (representing 49.98%) obtained credits and above in at least five mandatory subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. It was 52.97 per cent and 59.22 percent of the total candidates who sat the exam in 2016 and 2017 that had the similar results, while their numbers were 31.28 per cent and 38.68 per cent in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
